Success Can Happen to You

Do you think success only happens to some people? It does happen to certain people, you can learn to be one of them.  Success happens to people who make it happen.  It does not happen to people who sit around and wish to be successful.  Take a look at any successful person you know or know of.  Did he or she work hard to become successful or did they sit back and wish to be successful? I am sure they worked hard to get where they are in life today.  

I have been working at home for over 5 years now and when I first started, I wanted to be successful.  Everybody really wants to be successful in some way, whether it be in business or just in life.  I first sat back and read everything about people having success working at home and wished that it could be me.  Problem was I did not know what to do.  I fell for the claims made by people that say we can work from home, do nothing and make a lot of money.  Part of me did not believe it, but then part of me did.  It was the part of me that was wishing for success that believed these claims.  The claims are still all over the Internet and I try to stop people from believing and falling for them but I am only one person trying to help many.  

I kept trying these different programs thinking there had to be a way if others are doing it.  After trying for a while and also giving up for a few months, I realized that success does not just fall into your lap.  I gave up for a few months because I never learned to be successful.  I just thought, oh well none of these programs work and I do not have a chance.  Then I decided to give it a try again.  This time I did a lot more research.  

I had still seen people making all these claims, this time I did not get trapped in.  I did a lot of research before I got involved with anything again.  Learning as much as I could from people.  I got to know a couple people who are successful at working at home.  People who really are and do not claim they are.  I learned from them that success comes to anybody who works hard to achieve it.  Did you know that many people who are successful in business started out where you are today? Some may have had money and some may have been broke but they learned a lot as they went.  They were not born successful.  There was no magic button on the Internet that made them successful, it was not really luck.  

These people took the time to learn what they had to do.  They tried different things to see what works.  It was a relief to me really to see that these successful people had to learn to be successful too.  I was starting to think that it just would not happen to me.  Now that I was seeing it doe not just happen to lucky people, I started to look into what would be a good business.  I wanted to make sure the business would allow me to grow, allow me to have residual income (without residual income, success will not continue) and have a great product that is easy to market.  These are really a couple of tips for being successful.  If you are starting a business, you do have to make sure it is a good business.  

I started making money and was quite happy, started blogging about my adventures so I could help others.  My blog had become quite popular and readers where emailing me for advice.  That to me was a success, the fact that people were looking to me for tips and knowledge.  I was still in the learning phase myself but had gained enough knowledge to help people.  One thing that I had learned along my adventures of becoming successful is that you must help others to become successful as well.  It not only makes you feel good but it helps them and it also helps your own success.  I more recently started two other businesses just as a challenge for me to make them successful also.

Tips for Learning Success

Tho I cannot tell you exactly what will make you successful here without knowing you, I can share some tips to help you learn. Everybody is different and everybody is different. Everybody's idea of success and also their current situation is different. Success is going to take more learning then here but if you know the key points, you will have a better idea. I cannot tell you the details of what to do to build the business without knowing your business.

Key tips to know:

Knowledge- You need to learn all you can about your business and look at what competition is doing with their business. You can learn from your competition (not telling you to copy them)

Dedication and hard work- You must be dedicated to your business. If you are not dedicated to it, you do not believe in it. If you do not believe in it, how can you succeed. I am not telling you to give up your life for this tho, just be willing to work hard at your business.

Training- If the company you are working with offers training, take it. Do not just assume you will do good without it. You can always learn more. It will never hurt to take advantage of their training.

Treat your business like a business- If you choose to work at home, you will need to treat it like a real business. After all, it is a real business. Just because you now work for yourself does not mean you should slack off.

Do not be afraid to reinvest- Once you start making money, do not be afraid to use some profits to gain more knowledge or to use more advertising. Reinvesting is very important if you want your business to grow.

Follow up with customers- Always follow up with your customers. That is very important, you need to show them you really care about them and not just look at them as money.

Help others succeed- If you are in a business where you are able to sponsor new business members, help them every way you can. Show them you are there for them and help them succeed in business. It will help you out in the long run also.

Business plans- After setting your goals, you need to create a good business plan. This will include your budget and what you will be doing with the business.

Create a schedule and stick to it- Decide how much time you will spend each day on research, customers, advertising and anything that may go along with your business. Make sure you stick to your schedule.

There is more to learn but this is a good start for everybody. These are steps that are needed for any business, other steps will be based on the business.
